Posted on 11.15.16

A Weekend Away in Sedona ArizonaSedona, Arizona is one of those towns that can provide you and your traveling companions the perfect backdrop for a week away or a weekend getaway. With its famous red rocks, world-class spas, endless hiking trails and Painted Desert, this desert oasis has everything you need to feed your body and soul. Here are a few of our favorite things about Sedona.

Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village

Whether you are in search of the perfect piece of art for your living room or a little something to bring back to the neighbor that brought in your mail while you were away, the Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village has just the thing you need. Situated at the intersection of routes 89A and 179, this outdoor shopping center was originally designed to mirror a traditional Mexican village. The spot is home to a number or art galleries, New Age shops, places to find beautiful modern art pieces and a number of restaurants that serve all of the local favorites. It is easy to get lost in the charm of the place with the cobblestone streets and overall welcoming atmosphere. The shops are open 10am-5pm, so be sure to allow yourself ample time to wander and explore all this village has to offer.

The Spas

Sedona has long been known to be a city for healing and renewal so it should come as no surprise that there are a plethora of spas available to assist guests in rediscovering their true center. Whether you seek a quiet, meditative retreat, the perfect deep-tissue massage, an intuitive reading, or to find a healer to align your chakra, you will find a Spa in Sedona to service your needs.

The Vortexes

If you are interested in energy work of any kind be sure to check out the vortexes while visiting Sedona. It is said that these “cyclones of energy,” can be felt emanating directly from the earth through a number unusual rock formations. Each of the four vortexes is said to emanate its own unique source of energy that impacts the visitor in different ways. From boosting self-confidence, to impacting a person’s level of compassion, the energy emitted can have a powerful, positive impact.
